Our lagotto

Regun CONGO

Congo arrived on 30th October 2010. He immediately amused me with his colour (which has changed with time) as well as peaceful and reasonable behaviour. I had rather expected a crying puppy exhausted by a long journey but it turned out that it was a very peaceful dog ready for new adventures. He domesticated rapidly, having two cavaliers, Tosia and Countessa, to play and spend time with. He fell in love with water and swimming with fetching at first sight, well… at first soaking of his paw.

He has grown up to be a dog with a harmonious posture, dark eye and nose as well as strongly brightened hair.

However, the character is as important as the proper posture and Congo has a wonderful nature. He is a dog very friendly for a family and friends, which loves caresses and playing but at first keeps strangers at a distance. At house he performs very well the function of “a doorbell”. He feels his territory and watches it but let us not lie and expect that a lagotto will defend the house as a vigilant breed dog.
